WHO ARE "WE"?
We are members.
Some of us are city NDNs living off-reserve who, every election season, end up texting family like, “Okay but who are we voting for?”
We only hear what trickles down. We only see what gets shared.
Some of us are rez kids who are tired of the long, polished, kind-of-dull platform speeches. We don’t just want bullet points — we want to know the human behind the campaign.
Mostly?
We are Pikwakanagan members who care.
We care about our future.
We care about our relatives on and off reserve.
We care about making sure everyone has access to information in a way that feels real, engaging, and ours.
Ever Hot wasn’t made to divide or embarrass.
It was made because we believe our Nation deserves transparency, accessibility, and a little bit of personality.
We’re just community members who want all our relations to have a say in where we’re headed.

ACCOUNTABILITY AND TRANSPARENCY
Ever Hot was created to engage and present Pikwakanagan’s membership with their 2026 Candidates in a fair, equal, and community-driven way.
To ensure integrity and consistency, the following standards were applied to all participants:
Equal Format
- Each candidate was asked the same core 7 questions and 3 personalized questions that were developed by the members making up the production team.
- Personalized questions were created with the intention of being fun and relevant to the role/community.
- All candidates were given equal opportunity to respond.
- All Candidates were provided the questions in advance of their interview and given the final approval of questions.
- Every candidate was given an advance preview link to approve preliminary edit before posting
- The same wing lineup and heat progression was used for all participants using the spicy sauces (Hot Ones brand).
- A mild sauce option was available for accessibility or health considerations.
Recording Standards
- All interviews were recorded in the same setting and under the same conditions as were possible given natural impacts (sunlight, scheduling, etc).
- Interview time was not limited for any participants however they were encouraged to meet an approximate time frame.
- Candidates were welcome to bring observers, proxies, and cheerleaders
Editing Principles
To maintain fairness:
- Editing was limited to trimming for time, pacing, and technical issues (e.g., audio adjustments).
- Responses were not altered to change meaning or context.
- No answers were selectively removed to advantage or disadvantage any participant.
- Episodes were edited for length consistency across candidates.
- Humour, pauses, and authentic reactions were preserved where possible to reflect the real experience.
- Materials, sound effects, video clips etc were added to maintain entertainment value.
Ever Hot is not a campaign platform and does not endorse or oppose any candidate.
INTENT
This initiative was created to:
- Encourage community engagement.
- Offer an additional way for members to get to know candidates.
